Surfing in Solitude

I'm 21, alone and in Melbourne. I'm not much of a city person so I decided to hire a car at the last minute and get the heck out of there and go for a little adventure along the Great Ocean Road. I had absolutely no clue where I was going but I had my brand new camera in hand. Being from North Queensland, surfing is absolutely not in our culture so my level of fascination was sky high. Watching people happily running into freezing cold water to catch a wave.. it's incredible. I love this image because this guy had this whole beach to himself. This also captures what it's like to live in Australia
